There was a wild scramble for rubber shares at the Chartered D Bank of India, which are bankers for rour companies, the script of which was issued yesterday. The bank was beseiged for two hours) hy men, women and hoys, pandemonium reigning inside, despite the cashiers' assurances that the lists would be closed for a few minutes after opening. The 2s shares of one company rose to 16s during the day.
