"MARRIED TO THE WRONG MAN." A dramatic event of more than ordinary interest will be the visit here of Mr. George Mallow's Dramatic Company on Monday next, 18th April, at the Theatre Ro.yal, New Plymouth, for the one night only. The company has just concluded a record three weeks season iii Auckland, and this has followed on record seasons in Australia with what has now been termed the record-breaker, "Married to the Wrong Man," and in which the company will be seen here. The Sydney Referee, in referring to the company's opening in Brisbane just before it came to New Zealand, said this of the house, etc.: "One of the most remarkable sights for some time was witnessed on Saturday evening on the occasion of the opening of the George Marlow Dramatic Company. The reports that had preceded the company of the opening production, 'Married to the Wrong Man,' prepared the people of Brisbane for something unusually good in the melodrama line, and, judging by the enthusiasm of the packed house, they were not disappointed. Early in the afternoon people commenced to sit on the gallery stairs, and stall entrances were thronged, and the doors were opened shortly after six o'clock, and a little after seven o'clock the Kousft was filled, No late door tickets were sold for any (part of the house," This record business continued for over a week, and the same thing happened on the occasion of the opening in Auckland, where the New Zealand tour of the company commenced on Easter Saturday. The hox plan is at Collier's Music Warehouse, where seats may he reserved, while day sale tickets for the back stalls and pit may also be obtained at Collier's. .T iidging by the success of the drama, patrons would be well advised to book or secure early tickets and so avoid the rush.
