Mr. Stewart McGuinneass' Birkenhead —Lady Fisher colt ('bred in Waitara) brought the highest price of the New Zealand yearlings at the recent Sydney sale, the price paid being 700 guineas (says the Waitara paper). The purchaser was Mr. H. A. Corrie, of Victoria, and .the colt goes into the hands of Mr. Higinbotham (Carbine's' old trainer) to be made fit for the racing track. The colt is undoubtedly a beauty, and our informant states he looked a perfect picture in the sale ring. His career will lie watch with interest in these parts.
