Bates' •weather summary and forecast: ttie Ibarometric pressure has continued low and very unsteady. There has been little movement in the far north, but tl •westerly low pressure has controlled the weather conditions. Elsewhere westerly winds, strong to a gale, have prevailed, and rain has fallen in most parts southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint. Present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather generally, with ram in most marts of the country and snow on the higher levels. Strong souther]} winds will probably prevail. The barometer will probably fall again slightly m fhe south before definitely rising.
