The Rarawa brought 150 tons of cargo from Onehunga yesterday morning, including 30 tons of cement, 26 tons of flour, 12 tons of sugar, and 180 cases of fruit. :. ;,':,(..j-.;.*i!A THE PUTIKI. The Putiki completed her discharge of coal yesterday afternoon and proceeded to Wellington, at which port she is to load kerosene for Onehunga. THE HIMITANGI. s The Himitangi arrived from Westport yesterday morning with a cargo of 269 tons of coal. The New Plymouth Gas Co. are the consignees. THE ITALIAN NAVY. The Italian naval programme for 1910 includes the building of four battleships of the Dreadnought type and of three scout-cruisers. The first of the series oi Dreadnoughts will be launched at Castellamare in June. She has been named ' the Dante Alighieri. Her displacement will be 18,000 tons, while her armament will include ten 12in guns. The other three 'battleships will carry thirteen 12b guns mounted in five turrets. The 1 three battleships in question will have a displacement of 21,500 tons each and a designed speed of twenty-eight 'knots. They will be named the Cavour, Leonardo da Vinei, and the Guilie Cesare. The Cavour is already on the stocks at the Spezia yards. The Leonardo do Vinei will he built at the Odere yard, Genoa, and the Guilie Cesare at the Anealde yard. The scout-cruisers will be built, one at Venice and the other two at private shipyards. A submarine having a displacement of 1500 tons is under study at Spezia.
