WEDDING.
i PETERSON—MOVERLEY. ' On Thursday afternoon a very popular and pretty wedding was Celebrated. The contracting parties were Miss Margaret Ellen (Nellie) Moverley, youngest] daughter of Mr H. G. Moverley, of i New Plymouth, and Mr. William Andrew Peterson, only son of the late Mr Andrew Peterson, of. Thames. The bride was accompanied by two brides-1 maids. She was .prettily dressed in a' trained directoire gown of pale cream | •ilk striped voile. The bodice was ! finished with silk insertion, similar I trimming being used for the front of the ' skirt. Embroidered chiffon formed the 1 yoke and sleeved. Her tulle veil waa ar- j , ranged to fall from a wreath of orange! blossoms, and she carried a beautiful , bouquet of white flowers and fertus. The ! bridesmaids were Miss Kitty Mlsaac (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss' I Ada Finn. Each wore cream serge eos- j , tmneu trimmed with buttons, cream lace I vest* and amethyst hats trimmed with ! shaded wings and silk velvet. They wore respectively gold pendant set) wrtb ! topaz and .pearls bangle of unique de-1 I sign, the gifts of the bridegroom. In-1 j stead of the usual bouquets the brides- j ; niaid« carried white satin 1 horse shoes, j with trailers oi asparagus forn, Sowers and amethyst ribbon streamers. The | bridegroom waa attended by Mr S. G.I I Barker, of Aratapu, and Mr 0. Mover-j 'ley. The Rev. P. 0. Evans, vteai oi the | parish, officiated The bride entered the | church to the strains of a triumpfcal I march played by Mr. Renaud, orgaaist jof St. Mary's, and after the ceremony Itlie Wedding March was rendered. .[reception was subsequently (held at the! 1 Brougham Street Hall, which had been! very tastefully decorated' fctu the occasion. The meual toasts, were honoured, and later in the atteoooa Mr and Mrs Peterson left « route for [ Auckland and Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's ' travelling dress wa£ a two-tone grey ' striped tweed costume, with roll collar [of velvet end a cream lace vest. A Boitf Joli silk 'hat, trimmed with shaded , dahlias completed the toilet. Ifumert ous handsome presents were received. , The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Peterson will be at Whaogatei.
