Mr. Roosevelt's re,port to the Smithsonian Institute shows that lie has collected 4897 mammals, 4000 birds, 2000 reptiles, 500 fishes, and thousands of plants, Shells, crabs and beetles. PASSIONATE EGYPTIANS. Received April 8, 8.15 p.m. Cairo, April 8. The Egyptian General Assembly by sixty-six votes to one rejected the Government proposals for the renewal of the Suez concession.

Enthusiastic Nationalists paraded the streets after the decision. Much passion was displayed, and deafening shouts of "Down with Roosevelt!" were a feature of the demonstration.
