J SUMMARY AND FORECAST, ' By Uriegraph.—Press A»o«iatio». Wellington, April 8. Following is the Rev. D. O. Bate*' weather summary and forecast: The high pressure eyetem which has prevailed. during the past three days) has fceen accompanied by fine weather generally, except in the extreme south, and gales have been frequent in Foveaux strait. The present conditions will probably continue to hold sway for about thirty-six hours, but with freshening northerly winds and a falling fcarometer. In the south moderate to strong easterly winds are probable, northward of East Cape and Kawhia.
