SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Ba lelegraph.—Presß Aasowatiom. Wellington, Last Night Tollowing is the Rev. D. C. Bates' ■.weather summary and forecast:—The barometer lias risen everywhere, and ■moderate to strong southerly winds have •prevailed. Squally and unsettled weather has been experienced in the southernmost districts, but elsewhere the weather has been fine. Present indications are •for a. further rise in barometric pressure, moderate to strong _ southerly winds predominating with fair weather, day warn and night cool, in most parts of the country. In the extreme south, however, the weather is likely to be somewhat unsettled, as a disturbance is due there to-morrow. It will probably pass away in higher latitudes, and its influences exten3 further north.
