SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By jlelegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' ■weather summary and forecast:— Heavy rain fell in several parts during Monday night, when the. barometer rose everywhere, and moderate to strong southerly winds .prevailed. Cold and stormy •weather has continued about Foveaux Strait, and the conditions have been squally and changeable in the far north, ffiiit mostly fair elsewhere. Present indications are for strong southerly winds generally with cool and changeable ■weather. The barometer will probably rise very high everywhere shortly, especially .'in the 1 north.
