SENSATIONAL BALLOON ACCIDENT.

Thousands of spectators at Stettin gathered to watch the flight of the balloon "Ponimern" with four ■passengers', including Dr Delbrueck, Reichstag deputy for Stettin. As it cleared the ground it wis driven against telegraph, wires and a factory chimney. The netting was torn and threatened to detach from ,the car. The terrified onlookers watched the balloon for 2800 feet, when it vanished s'eawards, the car hanging by a few strands at a Sickening angle. The "Pommern" was next sighted 80 miles away at a height of 1500 feet. Tt 'fell with a terrible speed into the Baltic sea. Three of the passengers', including Dr Delbrueck, were killed, and the one survivor was badly injured. He gave a thrilling narrative of the three hours' voyage, during which ihe was expecting constant death. i
