RISE IN WAGES.

Companies employing 45,000 unorganised bituminous miners in Maryland and West Virginia have voluntarily increased wages bv 5 per cent. The New York Central Railway has increased the salaries by 7 per cent, of all employees receiving less than 200 dollars a month who are employed eastward of Buffalo.
