NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY REPORT. At Rahotu on Tuesday there wa9 a fair yarding and a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk for all lines, ' and everything sold at satisfactory •prices. Weaners made 20s to 30s 6d, yearling steers 37s Gd, 18 to 20-nionths eteers £3 ss, IS-months heifers, R.W.8., £2 9s to £3 3s, in-calf heifers £3 12s, store cows £2 10s to £2 17s, forward do. £3 6s to £4, fat cows £5 Is to £5 I ss, bulls £1 18s to £3. At Waiwakaiho on Thursday, owing to the boisterous weather, there was a small yarding and attendance, all the 1 stock advertised not coming forward. Bidding was fairly brisk, and most lines were sold at the hammer at the following prices:—Yearling steers 23s to 38s Gd, 21/jj-year steers £3 18s 6d, 15nionths heifers. Jersey strain, £2 4s to •£2 7s 6d, in-calf heifers £2 12s, store cows £2 Is, forward cows £3 2s Gd to - £3 10s, fat do. £4 4s, springing cows £5 10s, cows in milk £6 10s to £7 2s 6d, bulls £1 10s to £2 16s. MASTERTON. Messrs Abrahams and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton sale, held on Tuesday, as follows:—Fat ewes, lis to 12s Id; 2 and 4-tooth ewes (medium), lis to 12s 3d; sound.young breeding ewes, 9s 5d to lis; store ewes, 5s 4d to 7s 4d; cull ewes, 2s 4d to 4s sd; lambs (of which there was a large offering). 6s to 8s 4d; cull lambs, 3s lid to ss; wethers (best), 13s Id; others, 10s to 12s 9d; best bullocks, £6 16s to £7 6s; j others, £5 7s to <£6 14s' (according to \ quality and condition); 2i/ 2 to 3-year steers. £4 lis to £5 Is; 2-year steers, £2 19s to £3 15s; fat cows, £3 15s to £4 ss; store heifers, £ lg to £3ADDINGTON. The attendance at Addington on Wednesday was not up to the average. There was a very full yarding of sheep and lambs, but cattle showed a falling off in numbers. Fat sheep: Prime wethers, 16s to 19s; others, 13s 4d to 15s 9d; prime ewes, 13s Gd to 17s 9d; others, 8s to 13s; merino ewes, 6s. Fat lambs: Tegs, 16s to 18s; ordinary freezers, 13s v6d to 15s 6d; small, inferior or unfinished lots brought values ranging from 10s 6d to 13s. Store lambs were quitted at prices on a par with those ruling at last week's sale. The range of prices was: Wethers, 9s Id to 13s 4d; ewes, Ss 4d to 15s 9d; lambs, Us to 13s. The yarding of fat cattle comprised 240 head. Passings were heavy, and all classes suffered a decline in price to the exten of 6d per 1001b as compared with the values at last week's sale. Prices ranged from IBs to 22s per 1001b, according to quality. Steers realised £6 to £6 ss; heifers, £5 to £8; dry cows, £4 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d. Store cattle: Yearlings, 255; 15 to 18-month sorts, 39s to 57s Gd; 2-year steers, £3 15s to £3 18s; 2-year heifers, £3 14s; 3-year steers, £5 12s Gd to £G 2s 6d. The yarding of dairy coys was very small, and the quality generally poor. Sales were made at from £3 6s to £9.

Fat pigs: Choppers, 40s to 50s; heavy porkers, 32s to 355; lighter, 25s to 32s (equal to 3y 2 d to 3%d per lb); large baconers made 45s to 50s; lighter and smaller, 35s to 44s (equal to 4>/ 2 d per lb). For stores there was not much demand. Medium stores fetched 20s to 28s, and small 14s to 17s. Weaners brought 5s to 8s 6d.

DUNEDIN. At the Burnside stock market prime bullocks made £9 5s to £lO ss; extra heavy, to £l2; medium, £7 10s to £8 15s; light, £6 10s to £7 ss; best heifers and steers, £7 to £8 ss; medium, £5 15s to £6 10s; old cows, £4 to £5 10s. Except,for a few very prime lots, ewes met with a dragging sale, prices showing a drop of Is to Is Od per head. Prime wethers, 16s to 17s 6d; extra heavy., to 19s; medium, 14s 3d to 15s 6d; light, 13s to 14s; prime ewes, 12s to 14s 3d; few extra heavy, to 17s ,9d; medium, 8s y 2 d to lis; inferior, 4s 6d to Gs. Fat lambs: Prime, 13s 6d to 15s Od; a few heavy-weights to 18s; medium, lis to 12s. Pigs: 120 penned. Suckers, 6s 6d to 8s 6d; slips, 103 to 15s; stores, 18s to 245; porkers, 28s to 335; light baconers, 38s to 435; heavy baconers, 45s to 545. _

WANGANUI AND WAVERLEY. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their usual fortnightly sales at Wanganui on March 23 and at Waverley on March 26. At Wanganui—Sheep: Fat ewes, 10s, 10s Od to 12s; fat and forward wethers, 12s 7d, 13s, 13s Bd, to 13s lOd; fat and forward eyes, 9s 3d to 10s; 4 and 6-ttoth wethers, 12s lOd; rough do., lis 3d; mixed age ewes, 12s 5d to 12s 7d; full-mouth ewes, ss, 5s 6d, 6s Id, 6s 4d, 6s Gd, 6s 7d, 7s 3d; sound-mouth ewes, 8s Id, 8s 2d, 9s 3d, to 0s lid; cull ewes, 3s 6d, 3s 9d; mixed lambs, small, ss, 5s 6d, 6s Id, to 7s; cull lambs, 3s. Cattle: AVeaner steers, 30s to 325; Jersey cross weaner heifers, £1 18s; 18 to 20-month steers, £3 7s to £3 10s 6d; 15-month steers, £2 7s; 2y g -year steers, £3 15s Bd; empty cows, £3 6s to £3 13s 0d; 18 to 20-month heifers, £3 15s; old cows, £2; yearling bull, £3.
