BEDOUINS AND BRITISHER. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received March 30, 12.30 a.m. Melbourne, Last Night. The steamer Ivilburn, which arrived from Grey's Harbour, was the central figure in an incident in the Red Sea. On her previous voyage from the United Kingdom to Japan she struck a reef in the Red Sea, near the Farsaw Islands. Sixty boats-, with about eignty Bedouin pirates, urrounded her and opened fire, which the crew returned. When the steamer's ammunition was exhausted the crew escaped in an Arab dhow, which stood by and eventually brought assistance. Meanwhile the pirates stripped the vessel and got safely awav.

The Kilburn way eventually towed to Perim and repaired.
