DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. . Messrs E, Griffiths and Co., New Plymouth, are in receipt of the following Jmarket report from their London principals, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated February 11th, 1910: The weather during the early part of <the week was quite warm and unseason-, -able, but yesterday and to-day have been altogether better. Danish: The advances of the last two weeks somewhat checked the demand,' ,and trade at the commencement of the i week was very slow, and buyers therefore looked for a reduction in the quotation yesterday, but thie has not taken > ,place, and at the close of the niarKets! "there was a decided improvement. | French: Trade is exceedingly quiet tin this description, but it suits the shippers, as supplies continue on a vary email scale. Australian: the butter per s.s. Otwaj and Miltiades are to hand this week, and we are pleased to say that the quality I continues to turn out very well, but' the trade opened quietly, and buyers held off as long as possible in the hopes I

of getting on at lower figures, oat •agents have held lirm and 'best butters •have, gradually cleared at last week's quotations. The only 'weakening in the market has been on a few secondary butters, which are not now commanding quite such high values. New Zealand: There is still a llttl# butter left ex s.s. Turakina; certamly not much, but it would have been very much better had they all been cleared, as the Athenic is due to dock to-morrow and her butter should be available in the middle of next we«k. Argentine: The butters are selling steadily at about the same quotation as last week. Cheese.—Canadian: Trade has been steady arid it is possible here and there to make Is more. ' s New Zealand: The position continues to improve, and holders are asking more

money. There is a good trade passing, and there is every prospect of it continuing, as the trade must now look to New Zealand almost entirely for their future supply. • TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALE. MR. NEWTON KING'S REPORT. On Tuesday, March lath, I held my .•usual sale of above produce. Tfye catalogue comprised 140 Dales aud 340 sacks wool, 6082 sheepskins, 73 and 57 tin* fallow, 1976 calfskins, 2136 ox and oow hides, and the usual assortment of fhorsehair, cowtails, etc. Wool was easier in consequence of the fall reported from London uince my last sale and declined Vid to %d per lb, with the exception of best lines of lambs' wool, which advanced %d to %a. Seedy and stained lines were neglected, as there is, .not much demand for this class at present. I submitted a large catalogue of hides, and one which attracted a full attendance of buyers, with the result that every line met with excellent competition throughout the sale. Both ox and cow hides sold at prices equal to those auling at my last sale. Tallow advanced os to 10s par ton. I quote:— Wool—Medium crossbred, 8d to ■ jcoarse crossbred, 7%d to 7%d; cotted
