Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Morey intend spending a three weeks' holiday at Rotorua.

Dr. Monckton, one of the oldest surgeons at Feilding, dropped dead at his gate on Thursday afternoon, probably from heart disease. Deceased had been An army surgeon in England,, and came to New Zealand about thirty years ago. He lived at Invercargill, and whilst there leased the Auckland Islands from the Government and grazed sheep there. Afterwards he lived in Grevmouth, then came to Feilding, of which he was Mayor in 1889.
