FOOTBALL.
TUKAPA CLUB. The annual meeting of the above club was held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening. There was a good attendance of members. Mr H. J. Hobbs presided. The repbrt and balance-sheet, as already published, were adopted. The following new members were elected :-Gomer, Ryder, P. Burrows, A. Maxwell, W. Shain, A. C. Thompson, F. Grainger D. Reardon, P. O'Brien, G. Salway, L. F. Creswell, G. Bollinger, F. Atkins, A. Jennings.. L. Brabant, C. ; Davy, E. Lovell and N. Lovell. Election of officers res'ulted as iollows:—Patron, Mr G. Tisch (re-elect-ed); president, Dr Fookes (re-elected); vice-presidents, Drs. Walker, Wyllie and Leatham, Messrs W. B. Frances, J. McKean, Jas. Smith, W. D. Webster, £. Whitfe, J. Johnston, C. Clarke, J. Scanlon and •!. A. Tuthill: hon. sec. and treas., D. Waster (rp-elect"d); management committee. W. F. Shield, H. J. Hobbs, H. Mynoa, J. Yc'.eod, E. Steele, ' J. Finn, A. R. Standish, J. Stohr, C. R. I Fairbrother and secretary ex officio; hon. auditor, J. C. Webster (re-elected); club captain, Mr H. J. Mynott (reelected); selection committee, senior, ! Messrs Mynott, Steele and Stohr; first , juniors Messrs Loveridge, Finn and Fairbrother; second juniors, J. Blyde, B. Pelly and E. Allen; delegates to Taranaki Rugby Union, Messrs J. McLeod.and D. Webster.
The subscription was fixed at 2s 6d for playing members, and 5s for honorary members'. The opening day was fixed for March 31st. The chib decided to again pay half the cost of insuring players. Votes of thanks to outgoing j officers, the ladies' committee and the press concluded the meeting. Mr L. Antridge has generously donated a gold medal for competition. The St. James team to play the Star seniors in the Recreation Grounds today is—Backs, A. C. Kitto, W. Braungart, F. Crewes, T. Linklater, M. Healy, L. McDonald; forwards, J. Kells, F. Samuels, W. King, A. Bruce, F. Hoare, R. Wilkinson, F.~ Wright, D. Jenkins, and Dunbar. Mr. F. Crewes, secretary of the club, accpmpanies the team as mana'ger.
