FIRES.
OUTBREAK AT XORMAXBY. FOUR-ROOMED COTTAGE DESTROYED. A four-roomed house, owned by Mr.. A. E. Hay ward, was burned down on Monday morning about "2.30 oVock. The house had until lately been occupied by Mr. "\Y. Nation, but had been empty for about th<ve weeks. The origin of the' fire is at present a mystery. The property w.is insured in the Alliance Office' for £l2,T.—Star.
