THE NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The following rinks have been selected to represent the New Plymoutn Club at Hawera on Friday:— Luscomlie, Cock, Bishop, A. K. Smart (skip). Medley, Firth, Collins, H. Smart (skip). Binnie, Jenkinson, Ewing, S. Rundle (skip), Fraser,. J. Avery, Hall, A. D. Gray (skip), Davy,. Penn, Hill, Ward (skip). Harle, Goodacre, Bary, Morey (skip). Emergencies—Waugh, L. Goldwater, and Furlong.. The team will leave'by the 7.10 a.m. train. On Easter Monday the rink games of the Avery trophy competition will be played; twelve rinks are engaged, and will play a3 follows, first round to commence at 10 a.m.: — Medley, Bradbury, Collins, Burgess (skip) play Marks, Cutfield, C. Smart (skip); Fraser, Bellringer, Harle, 11. Smart (skip); Rudd, Goodacre. Hill, Bary (skip); Morrison, Firth, W'. Rundle, S. Rundle (s-kip). Luncheon will be provided on the green, and the second round will be
played at 1.30 p.m. The third round will commence about 3.30 p.m.
On Frilay last Bishop and Bary endeavored to wrest the Veale Buckles from Rudd and A. K. Smart, who have held them since last season, hut failed to secure them. Nothing daunted, Bishop and Bary had another t.issle, and on Saturday were successful in wresting them. The Dempsey Feathers are still held by B'nnie, Wood, and Luscombe. and challengers are expected to have a go for them be'iore the season ends. Fitzrov are sendinsr teams to Eltham on Good Friday and Stratford on Easter Monday.
