Disastrous bush fires, extending for sixty miles along the coast, are raging in the Blackwood district. A VICTORIAN BYE-ELECTION. Melbourne, March 19. A bye-election for the Brunswick seat in the Assembly resulted in Mr. Jewell, a Laborite, defeating the Ministerialist by a large majority.
