TRICKY TRENTHAM.
AUSTRALIANS BEATEN AND PUZZLED. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright, Received March 21, 12.55 a.m. Adelaide, March 20. Mr Dakin, secretary of the Rifle dissociation, said the Australian k««in formed the opinion that Trenthaj* was the trickiest rifle range in the world. The team were puzzled and beaten e- - tirely by the conditions .prevailing during the meeting. The change .* light and its effect on the elevation were such as they never had the slightest experience of here. Under the prevailing conditions he considered the score made by the i\ew Zealanders would beat any team in the world. On any Australian range he had not the slightest fear that with the same team, firing under normal conditions, the New South Wales men would prove equal to any New Zealand team. The general appointments at Trentham were excellent, especially as regards the telephony which was so up-to-date as to put the Australian ranges to shame.
