TIMES VOTING CONTEST
MISS BODMIN ROMPS IIOME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Very great interest was taken in the New* Zealand Times' voting contest, which closed last night. Several thousand people thronged the streets outside the Times office to hear the result, * which was announced shortly after 11 o'clock by Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P. The friends of Miss Maud Bodmin, a resident of the Lower Hutt. woo is employed in the Treasury Department at "Wellington, worked very hard throughout the day, and their efforts were successful. The principal results of the contest are as follows: — First prize, trip round the world— Miss Bodmin, 3,174,815 votes. Second prize, piano value 109 guineas —William Webb, Wanganui, 1,557,215 votes.
Third prize, motor cycle valued £6o— Gallichan, Wellington. 1.218.193 votes. Fourth prize, trip round Australia — E. A. Connelly, Petone, 1,059,255 votes. Fifth prize, gold watch value £2o— T. Tavlor, Wellington. 714.180 votes.
