HILLSBOROUGH.
Some people wonder where this place is. It is in the Egmoht road district, on the Egmont road, the first road inland after you pass Mr. Newton King's saleyards at Waiwakaiho, and up that road we will be pleased to see a number of New Plymouth friends on Thursday at the picnic and sports in Mr. H. C. Sampson's beautiful grounds. Quite a number of novel events will take place (all post entries). The Egmot* Road Hall Committee have arranged for Mr. West's 'bus to leave Ambury's corner at 7 p.m. for the liall for the concert and dance. A really first-class programme will be provided and the committee anticipate (weather permitting) a bumper house.
