INGLEWOOD S.M. COURT.

Mr Eyre-Kenny, S.M., iheld a sitting of the S.M. Court at Iniglewood on Monday. Judgment was given for plaintiff by default in the following cases:—J. Boucher (Mr Crombie) v. E. A. Ward, £1 15s 6d, costs ss; J. Boucher (Mr Crombie) v. H. Zimmerman, £3 10s, costs 10s, solicitor fee ss; E. G. Hopps (Mr Crombie) v, C. E. Meyenberg, £ls Is, costs 15s, solicitor 15s 6d. In the judgment summons case, J. O'D. Quigley (Mr Thomson) v. Albert Elgar, for £3 16s 9d, there was no appearance of judgment debtor, who was ♦rdered to pay amount forthwith, in default seven days' imprisonment in New Plymouth gaol.

After being adjourned on three occasions, judgment was given- in a claim for £IOO by Annie Richmond (ill' Gray) v. E. Viclcers (Mr Thomson), for allegied wrongful conversion. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £Bl 3s 6d, Court costs £2 6s, witnesses' expenses £ls 4s !)d, solicitor's fee £5 Is. On the information of the Inspector of Noxious Weeds, the following persons were fined for failing to ciear their land of blackberry and ragwort:— F. Co we rn, £5, and costs 7s; J. Swann, £2, costs 7s; B. Sutur £5, costs lis; Geo. Turner, £2, costs 7s; J. Neilsen, £2, costs 7s; R. Stevens, £3, costs 7s; W. Langman, £3, costs 7s. T. Clark (Mr. Spence) pleaded guilty to illegally taking fisih from the Ngatoro river on 4th ultimo, and was fined £2 and costs 7s, solicitor's fee £1 Is. Mr Wilson appeared for the society. A similar charge against A. Hickton was withdrawn. The undermentioned persons pleaded | guilty to driving vehicles at night without Tights, and 'were fined:—A. Chard ss, costs 7s; R. D. Rogers (Mr Thomson) 2s Gd, costs 7s; H. Brown as, costs 7s; J. Rogers 2s Gel, costs 7s. At the previous sitting here a claim by Nicholls and Son (Mr Crombie) v. W. Jellyman (Mr Weston) for £79 Is lOd, on two alleged dishonoured promissory notes, was heard. Judgment was given for plaintiffs , for amount j claimed, Court costs £2, and solicitor's fee £5.
