The committee of the Tennis Association has decided that the preliminary •tie for the Davis Cup between England <tnd America must be played at such a date as to enable the concluding round •against Australasia to be played in New Zealand in December. The fifth annual match between Taranaki and Auckland was played at the Northern city on Saturday, and was won bv the home province by ten matches to six.
