Four girls under fourteen years started, Tui Bain winning xh" four races, in times which showed her to be the best school girl representative vet brought forward. He times -were as follows': 25yds, 17 4-ssec (previous record lOsec); 50vds', 42% sec (previous record 45sec)~; 75vds, 6!) l-ssec (prev,ouo record 73wc); 100 yds, 104 sec (previous record 109 sec).
