The Rosamond did not get in till midnight on Thursday and did not com- : mence discharging till yesterday morn- | ing. Her cargo consisted of 180 tons, j besides 15,000 feet of timber. She left | for Onehunga at 2 p.m. and returns here ' to-morrow, loading on Monday cheese j for transhipment to the Devon at WelI lington.

The Union Company advises that the 25 per cent, additional levied on cargo hetween Xew Zealand and Australia on account of the Newcastle eoal strike, was from yesterday reduced to 10 per cent.
