The Kcuse of Representatives decided against honoring Peary until lie submits proofs. Members question the accuracy of his statement that his marches averaged 26 miles rrom leaving Captain Bartlett to the Pole, and 44 miles daily until he rejoined Bartlett, ■whereas the greatest speed before and after was nine miles daily.
