DAVIS CUP CHALLENGE. ENGLAND LATE. By Cable—Press Association.—Copyrigm. Received March 10, 1.35 a.m. Sydney, Last Night. The Secretary of" the Tennis Association to-day received a cable from the secretary of the English Association challenging for the Davis Cup. The cable was dated London, Bth March, and as the regulations provide that the challenge should- reach the champion nation not" later tiian the first Monday m March, it is two days late. The secretary of the Australasian Association nas advised the president of the American Association, asking if be is agreeable to the acceptance of the challenge, seeing that it arrived late.
