NEW PLYMOUTH SESSIONS; The following eases have been set down for hearing ;\t the -New Plymouth sessions of the Supreme Court, tfnich. open to-morrow. CRIMINAL CASES. Rex v. John Shepherd, a charge of theft of a watch and chaia, valued at oOs, anil about Ji3s in money, from the person «i Thomas Paliuer, at Waitara. Ilex v. John McCarthy, alias M"Arthur, charge of 'assaulting Bridget Campbell, and causing actual bodily hanu, at .New Plymoutu. Kcx v, William Russell Mackay, of Stratford, four charges, under the Bankruptcy Act ) of contracting debts without having reasonable and probable expectation of being able to pay them, and one charge of having failed to keep proper books in his business within three years of his bankruptcy. CIVIL SUITS. Nicholas Mttir (Mr Wade) v. David Francis Jones (Mr Quilliam), claim K>r £3O. amount alleged to be overdue on a promissory note. Michael O'Connor (Mr C. H. Weston) v. John Callaghan O'Korke (Mr* Quilliam), claim for £133 lt)s lor damages in respect of alleged breaches of covenance in a lease. This ease will be heard before a jury. Official Assigne in in the estate of Charles' Edward Hyde, of Stratford (Mr Spence) v. Sun Insurance OlTice (Mr H. P. Richmond, of Auckland), claim for £193. insurance moneys, with interest, alleged to be due with regard to the destruction by fire of certain chattels, etc., in a bootmaking business. This case also will be taken before a jury. APPEAL. Joint Dwver (appellant) v. John Reeve and Lucy Reeve (respondent), appeal from a decision of the Stipendiary Magistrate at Pa tea, who awarded respondent, Lucy Reeve, £75 5s damages, with £l2 17s costs, for injuries received in fall from a horse, caused, it wag alleged, through appellant's negligence in leaving certain fencing wire on a road: MISCELLANEOUS. Motions for discharge of the following bankrupts: James Rutherford, blacksmith, Eltliam (Mr Anders'on); Joseph Oossey, labourer, Hawera (Mr O'Dea); Richard Lloyd, cabdriver, Hawera (Mr O'Dea); Manson Ashton Currin, baker, Hawera (Mr O'Dea). Several matters will also he taken in chambers.
