PETROLEUM NEWS
THE TARAXAKT COMPANY. Operations at Moturoa flic progressing; satisfactorily. Drilling continues at No. 2 and No. 3 bores. At the latter bore the drill penetrated some very good country yesterday, a stratum of hard gravel conglomerate, thoroughly saturated with petroleum. A specimen of the stuff brought up by the puvnp has been left at 1 our office. The manager considers the indications very satisfactory. This seam of harder formation gives promise of better things to come. At the directors' meeting last night it was decided to add the names of Messrs. IT. J. Okey, M.P., and P. Kingswell, of Auckland, to the directorate. BARKED YOUR SHINS? Well, try Dr. Sheldon's Magnetic Liniment: it will take away all the pain and stiffness, and you will forget aV about it.
