AUSTRALIAN WAGES BOARD

LABOR PARTY'S ANTAGONISM. " TEARING DOWN THE INDUSTRIAL SYSTEM." By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Melbourne, March 1. Mr. Deakin, speaidng at Benidigo, attacked the Labor Party. Labor, he said, had got orders to step in in March and vote. It had no choice. The Labor Party was definitely committed by its leaders to antagonism to the Wages Board, which meant a tearing down of the industrial system. In each State the Labor members stood between the working classes and justice. They were powerless to do anything themselves and wished to prevent someone coming in and doing the work they won't and can't do.
