The events were 1 weii contested, tiie entries being a record. The Opunake Brass Band, under the leadership of Bandmaster Nicoll, supplied mwsk during the afternoon. The guessing competition netted a good deal of cash, and tiie winner was very near the mark, being only about lib out, the ealf weighing 184lb. The refreshment tent was in charge of Mr. B.
