Owing to a slight mishap to a portion of the boring tools' at No. 2 bore, no marked progress has been made during the week. The difficulty may be overcome ere this appears, however, and drilling resumed. The bore has now reached a depth o? 2738 feet. Oi! silt and water continues to be ejected between the 5- and 0-inch casings at No. 3 bore. A depth' of 2085 feet lias now been reached, with most favorable indications.
