Fitzroy 16. Stratford (Betts) 33 v. Patea (Oilshnan) 12: Stratford (Sangster) 25 v. Patea (Williams) 17; totals, Strattord 58, Patea 29. Waverley (MeGorrey) 21 v. Inglewood (Gudgeon) 16; Waverley (Enimern'on) 20 v. Inglewood (Drake) 22; totals,. Waverley 41, Inglewood 38. Sprinkling rain set in at mid-day, but it is hoped that play will be continued. The positions at the end of the seventh round are (wins given first in each instance):—Piliama 5 —2, Eltham 2—5, Stratford 7—o, New Plymouth 7—o. Inglewood o—7, Fitzroy 2—5, Patea 2 —5, Waverley 2 —5, Opunake 2 —5, Hawera 6—l. Eltham, Last Night. New Plymouth (A. Smart's rink) won the tournament, running right through 'without a loss. The score was 9 wins and no losses. Hawera was runner-up with 8 wins and 1 loss.
TARANAKI PROVINCIAL ASSOCIATION.
The annual general meeting of the Taranaki Provincial Association was held at the Eltham Pavilion yesterday, Mr. H. G. Carman in the chair. Delegates were present from the following clubs: New Plymouth, Fitzroy, Inglewood, Stratford, Eltham, Opunake, Piliama, Hawera, Patea and Waverley. Pihama moved, in accordance with notice of motion. That 'present club matches of t'wo rinks' be done away with, and that the one-rink system be substituted therefor, the same as at the recent tournament in Wellington. Unless that clubs be limited,to two rinks, the shield to be given to "the club winning the rink matches; Mr. G. Smart (Stratford) moved, in accordance with nolice. That the rule qualifying numbers of rinks from clubs with a membership of 25 or less, r>c struck out.
The notices were withdrawn after a little discussion, and it was decided that a copy of rule 17 be forwarded to each club along with the notices of motion, mail votes to be sent in to the secretary of the Association not later than November 30, 1910.
Inglewood and New Plymouth clubs offered to place their greens at the rtisposal of the Association for the 1911 tournament, and the former invitation was accepts#.
The incoming president and secretary e-f Ihe Tnolewood Ciub were elected preand secretary of the Association for the incoming year, and the 'president of Fitzroy Club as vice-president. A vote of thanks to the Eltham Blub concluded the proceeding.
