A POOR IMITATION.
EX-CONSTABLE AS A FORGER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, February 23. An ex-oonstable iraamed McDermott was charged at the Magistrate's Court on several charges' alleging forgery of various documents whereby he obtained sums of money from different people, including a doctor, a secretary of a loan company, a minister, a chemist, and others. On one charge he was committed for trial and remanded on the others.
