"MISS HOOK OF HOLLAND."

TO-NIGHT. "Miss) Hook of Holland." the delight-' ful young person who Ik: charmed the hearts of the satiated pi. goers of every city in the world, has arrived, and this evening, at the Theatre Royal, she will endeavor to charm a New Plymouth audience in the same fascinating manner that has characterised lier advent elsewhere. The last week has been a time of anticipation in theatrical circles', and the phenomenal booking at Collier's indicates the ipopular interest taken in the first production here of this worldfamed musical comedy. The cast will include all the old favorites, besides several new faces. Among the latter is Miss Edyth Collins, who will be seen as " Mina," in which she has several charming solos and graceful dances. Another newcomer, in Mr. Wilfrid Hilary, will undertake the character of the bandmaster, while still another new artist in Mr. A. S. McKay will be seen as "De Coop." Perhaps the two quaintest characters of an essentially Dutch atmosphere are " Slinks,'< played by Mr. Charles Albert, and the "Mr. Hook" of Jock Willis. The business of these comedhres is'said to be rich in originality of conception. Miss Clarice Buckman as " Miss Hook" has completely won the hearts of southern audiences, with her rich soprano voice and captivating presence. A strong choms supports the principals, and its singing has been a theme of praise everywhere. The piece has been produced by Mr. Wilfred Hilary, who came from London with the original company, while the entire proSuction is under the direction of Mr. Tom Pollard. Mr. A. Brahms will conduct an adequate orchestra of picked musicians.
