ANNUAL MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press' Association. Rotorua, Last Night. At the annual meeting of the United Press Association to-day, the following were [present:—Messrs. Geo. Fenwick, chairman (Otago Daily Times), Brett (Auckland Star), Horton (New Zealand Herald), L. Bluiidell (Evening Post), Selig (Christchurch Press), Smith (Dunedm Star), Kerr (Timaru Herald), Joyce (Timaru Post), Russell (Dannevirke Advocate), Page (Hawera Star), Robinh'on (Hokitika Times), Pirani (Feilding Star), A. L. Muir (Gisborne Herald), C'oomLic (Manawatu Standard), W. J. Geddes (Napier Telegraph), Kemle (Greymouth Star), McCrobie (Waihi Telegraph), Bond (Nelson Colonist), Weston (New Plvinoutili Heifcld), F. McCullough (Thames Advertiser), Atkin (Westport News), Williams (Westport Times), P. Dunwiddie (Hawke's Bay Herald), Dolamere (Mataura Ensign), Carson (Wanganui Chronicle), Walker (Wanganui Herald), Hon. G. Jones (Oamaru Mail) and F. Hyman (Lyttelton Times').
i The chairman in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sneet, gave an interesting resume of the proceedings at the Imperial Press Conference, at which he was present; and also on other matters, particularly the cable service. The address was received witli applause and Qr3ore3 to he printed. It was decided to alter the articles' of association to enable provision to be made for the special representation of junior papers. * Mr. Fenwick was re-elected a director, and Mr. C. S. Smith was chosen to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. E. W. Knowles. The lafter had held a seat on the board for eighteen years, and news of his' resignation was received with expressions of regret. Wellington, Christchurch, Hokitika, rianmer. and Queenstown were proposed for the next place Ttf meeting, and the last-mentioned was cfioscn by a large majority.

Smith (Dunedin Star) was chosen to fiir the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Knowies. Queenstown was chosen for. the next place of meeting. The 'Newspaper Proprietors' Association meets on Friday, and the Master Pj-inters of Zealand on Saturday. To-morrow the visitors will , be the guests of Mr. Brett on a boating excursion.
