Bates wires the following summary and forecast:—Light and variable winds have prevailed, with fine weather generally, though clou-iy and hazy at times. The barometric pressure has continued high, but unsteady. Present inideations are for a fallin* barometer everywhere, with atorm areas probably approaching from the northward and westward in tne xear of the anti-cyclone now moving <a the eastward. Easterly and northerly sales are nrobable soon, with increasing laziness and unsettled weather following everywhere.
