Sir William Lewis's mausoleum at Cefn, Merthyr Tydvil, has been battered in and the coffin containing Lady Lewis's remains removed from a ghelf to the floor. The lid was broken Jpen, as ff the uesecrator hoped to 'find ajpvellery, but lost his' nerve before''"completing the search. Nothing was taken from the body. A similar outrage was committed at the late Colonel D. Lewis's grave at Cefn the previous week.
