HEALTH DEPARTMENT
By Telegraph.—Press Association. , Wellington, Last Night. The Minister in charge of the Public Health Department (the Hon. D. Buddo) says the re-organisation of that Department is now complete. A final appointment has now been made, and is that of district health officer at Duncdin and bacteriological lecturer to the University. A New Zealamler, w'tli high credentials, Dr. Sidney T. Chamraloup, who graduated at Edinburgh, has been appointed to the position. This will enable a bacteriologist to be available in each Island, namely, Dr. Chamuloup in the South, and Dr. Makgill in the North. Dr. Makgill wifi also i e district health officer at Auckland, the other district health officers being: Dr. Frengley (Wellington), Dr. Finch (Christchurch), Dr. De Lisle (Napier), and Dr. Chamtaloup (Duncdin). They will he expected to undertake advisory work to local authorities as well as their ordinary duties, Wtili regard to the health inspectors, Mr. Buddo states tiny are practically the same as before, but their districts have been extended.
