No Trumps, Swimming Belt and Coiomandel, Lady Mensehikoff being last. Approaching the six-furlong barrier Swimming Belt led Roosevelt and Coromandel, with Mendip moving ;.p fast. Along the liacx Wee Trinket and Colder-. Eagle moved into second and third positions respectively, this order being maintained into the straight, with Coromandel handy. Swimming Belt drew out and won by nearly two lengths, a slashing race for second place ensuing, Wee Trinket gaining the verdict by a long neck. Mendip was fourth. Time, Imin 58 3-osec. At the bend out of the back Lethean was half a length ahead of Kanewara, with Cyrene two lengths away and Miss Advance moving up. Into the straight Lethean led from Miss Advance and Cvrene. with'Perolina going stroag. Lethean won all out by a length, ha|_f a length between second and third. Time, Imin 44sec. Speedy Meg led from St. Tarra to the distance, with St. Prior in close attendance. Jn the straight St. Tarra assumed command, winning by nearly half a length. St. Prior a length away. C.
