♦ATHLETIC UNION AND LEAGUE OF WHEELMEN 7 . By Telegraph.—Press' Association. Christchureh, Last Night. At a meeting of the North Canterbury centre of the 'N.Z. Athletic JJnvm last evening, the following motion was passed:—"That this centre being of the unanimous opinion that the action of the executive of the Union in delaying the signing of the agreement between the Union and the League of Wheelman is unwarranted and inimical to the (best interests of sport, respectfully requests the executive to take immediate steps to bring about the adoption of the agreement submitted by the League, and failing prompt measures being taken by the executive, this centre w'll consider the advisability of taking such steps a* it mav deem fit to protect the interest of athletics in its own district.
