Mr. Joseph Chamberlain made a dramatic appearance in the Hous'e of Commons, assisted by Mr. Austen Chamberlain and Viscount Morpeth. He took the oath, and also his seat in the front bench, and was loudly cheered. The Speaker expressed the gratfication of the House at Mr. Chamberlain's presence. Mr. Chamberlain acknowledged the compliment and withdrew. His departure for Cannes was' delayed to enable him to appear in the House of Commons.
