'■» REPORT TO THE ADMIRALTY.. Commander Home, of TI.M.S. Pegasus, who was so keenly interested the "other day in the burning of petroleum as fuel in _ the Taranaki Company's furnaces, is being supplied, at hi« own request, with full particulars of the company's operations, depth of the bores, quantity of oil saved, etc., in order that he mav report thereon to the Admiralty. Thfe directors will invite the Admiral of the Australasian Squadron to visit the works during his forthcoming visit to the Dominion. .Boring is being continued at No. 2 bore. The drill is penetrating good country, and the lower oil vein may be struck at any time now.
