R. McKenzie. arrived at Xelson yesterday and proceeded'overland to Motueka. Mr. Andrew Black, the well-known-Scottish baritone, is about to pay another visit to Xew Zealand, with a concert party which will include AntonTschiakov (the young Russian violinist), Miss I bey Cross' (contralto), and; Miss Lilian Delaney (pianiste). Father O'Dwyer, of llaweia, who ha* been appointed temporarily to the charge of the Stratford parish, was on Monday evening .given a send-off and made the recipient of a presentation of a purse of sovereigns from the member? ,of the congregation amongst whom he had labored for the past four years. Mr. G. T. Maunder, of Xew Plymouth, who has received the appointment of preparatory master at the Waitnki Boys' High School, has had eight years' teaching experience under the Wanganui Education Board, and obtained the degree of B.Sc. at the Otago University in 100 S. He is a son of Mr. X. ?. Maunder, of Xew Plymouth.
