After discussion on scholarships, Mr. holmes (TTawke's May) moved that all Junior National and Education Hoard •Scholarships lie abolished, but sufficient travelling expense* and boarding allowances be made to pupils attending secondary schools at a distance or obliged to live away from home. The abolition of the scholarships named was agro-Mi to by 2!l votes to 17, and the rest of .the motion was carried 011 the voices.
