Clegg I and Croinbie opened to the bowling of Soulhall and lienbow. but the lirst- ' named soon secured their wickets m a |cost of 15 rims. Pulieu and U'Hyrne were then associated, and mils came faster, the partnership producing 38 i runs. Tlie rest of the team were unable to make a,stand, and the innings' closed for 75, Carrington Road thus winning by an innings and 44 runs. For the losers L'nllcn scored 35, including one six and live fours, whilst " extras" again contributed a useful 14. Southall, with seven wickets for -25 runs, 1 trundled well. This 1 match was continued at WesI tern Park yesterday. Last week Wanderers had scored 130 in the first inni ings, and at the call of time Waitara •had lost two wickets for S3 runs. WilIson and Eggleston, the not-out men, I continued their innings yesterday, but the former had only added one to his total when he was run out. Fuller filled the vacancy, and the score was taken to 53 before Eggleston was bowled [by Nicoll for 27. Skelton and Thomas' batted well, and with the assistance of extras raised the score to 102 for the loss of seven wickets, but Whittle disposed of the last three for none. Iti the second innings Wanderers obtained 103, Nicoll (not out) 28, Lash 20, Goss 15, being highest scorers. Waitara were thus left with 137 runs to get to save defeat, but were only able to realise 85—Eggleston 24. P. Skelton (not out) 18, C. Wilson 17 being the most successful batsmen. Wanderers thus won by 52 runs, securing a three-point win. Scores:

At call of time the Brigade had hit 50 without the loss of a wicket. The latter team thus won on the first innings, and thus' wins I the junior championship.

An Auckland wire states that Relf will remain in Auckland till March 6 in order to qualify for the Plunket shield match. Therefore he will play to-morrow.
