Taihape, Thursday. A ccTorfid man named George Ward, a teacher of boxing, well known in the district, was- seen yesterday behaving in a wild manner in the bed of a .stream at Ohutu. He was sparring at the water and making wild plunges. Being missed afterwards the police were informed and two constables .searched the stream till dark without result. The search is being continued .to-day. It is feared the man was temporarily deranged. Owing to deep pools and difficulty of access doubts are felt as to the success of the search.
