NEW BLACKBALL STEAMER
Wollfngton, La 4 Night. The New Zealand Times states" that Blackball Coal Company has orilered a new steamer, a facsimile of the Ngafieve. ,(1000 tons), the new boat to be delivered in Xew Zealand in August next. Mr. •J. R. Jeffrey, chief engineer of the iiere, left for Home by the Ruahinc "today to bring the new iteamer out.
SPURIOUS COINS.
Christchtirch, Thursday. A large number of spurious coins are in circulation here. One big firm is reported to have been victimised to the extent of £l3 in one day. The tramways also suffereil to some extent.
